Many of the remaining 2020 Presidential candidates responded to the news on Twitter. Elsewhere, long time anti-Trump celebrities took the opportunity to savor the moment. But as always, the internet responded best by retweeting the President himself...

Open letter: To fellow Democrats. Why that impeachment asterisk matters, no matter the outcome.

Dear fellow Democrats, An asterisk is just a punctuation mark. It denotes a footnote, an exception, or a caveat. It doesn’t usually provide anything more than background or context. But today it’s a victory. Because for only the third time in history, a president will forever live with one next to his name. Trump has demeaned himself and the office he's held for three years. We’ve watched as he denigrated women (grab them by the...), undermined the rule of law (obstructing the constitutional authority of Congress to investigate wrongdoing by the Executive), and sold out America’s interests to foreign powers [...]

Obama: Women are indisputably better than men.

Speaking at a private event on leadership in Singapore today, Barack Obama remarked about how he had mused what a world run by women would look like during his time in office. Addressing the audience, the former President said: "Now women, I just want you to know; you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you're better than us [men]. I'm absolutely confident that for two years if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything... living standards and outcomes."     [...]

Pennsylvania bill could require death certificates for fertilized eggs.

Anti-abortion lawmakers in Pennsylvania are pushing a bill that would require burial or cremation and, as a result, a death certificate for the "fetal remains" of an "unborn child." The bill is a maze of hidden intentions.  On its face, and as touted by its primary author, it gives women who miscarry the right to decide whether to bury their own fetal remains.  But the bill, as drafted, has far more reaching consequences.  The bill would extend the burial requirements to any "product of conception" and defines an "unborn child" as beginning "from fertilization."  And because Pennsylvania law requires a [...]
