Anti-abortion lawmakers in Pennsylvania are pushing a bill that would require burial or cremation and, as a result, a death certificate for the "fetal remains" of an "unborn child." 440 pairs of high heels installed in Istanbul to raise awareness of women killed in domestic abuse.

440 pairs of women’s shoes have been hung on two art installation walls in Istanbul to raise awareness of the number of women killed by domestic violence in Turkey. R Kelly arrested on federal sex crime charges.

R Kelly has been arrested on federal sex crime charges, a spokesman for the US Attorneys office has said. In a statement, Joseph Fitzpatrick said child pornography, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice were among the 13 charges against the R&B singer. The arrest was the second time this year that Kelly has been taken into custody in Chicago on sex charges. Kelly was also arrested in February on 10 counts in Illinois involving four women, three of whom were minors when the alleged abuse occurred. New York pays $610,000 to a woman forced to give birth in handcuffs.

New York City has agreed to pay $610,000 to a woman they kept handcuffed and shackled whilst in labor. The woman, identified as 'Jane Doe', was 40 weeks pregnant at the time of her arrest for violating an order of protection that was part of a child custody dispute with her former partner. Britain bans gender stereotype advertising.

The UK advertising standards authority have implemented the ban on gender stereotype advertising following their initial plans announced last year. In a statement issued Friday 14th June, the ASA wrote: [Advertisements] must not include gender stereotypes that are likely to cause harm, or serious or widespread offence. Woman jailed over stillbirth is freed from 30-year sentence.

A court in El Salvador has freed a woman who was sentenced to 30 years in prison after she gave birth to a stillborn baby in a toilet.
