In a a preview of an interview with CBS Sunday Morning host Jane Pauley, the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave her thoughts on whether Trump will win re-election in 2020.

“Well, I hope not, and I don’t think so — because the objective is to field whoever is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump.”

She later added:

“Because Donald Trump right now poses a direct threat, a clear and present danger to the institutions of our government, to the rule of law, to our standing in the world.

Clinton also commented on the 2016 race:

“I believe that, look there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again. And I’m hoping that both the public and press understand the way Trump plays the game.”

When asked if she gets upset that Trump continues to say she should be “locked up,” Clinton replied, No, it doesn’t kill me because he knows he’s an illegitimate President.”

During the interview, Clinton also speaks of what it was like to lose the 2016 election, referring to Trump as a ‘corrupt human tornado.’

Both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton have recently taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the recent whistleblower scandal that has triggered an impeachment inquiry.

The full interview with Jane Pauley and Hillary Clinton is due to air 29th September on CBS Sunday Morning.
