Madonna has released a graphically violent video for her new single God Control, which depicts a mass shooting at a nightclub. The people, the scene, and the set up seems to point to the 2016 Pulse Nightclub massacre as a point of reference, and features images of club goers being shot by a crazed gun man.
Watch – but take heed of the warning at the beginning of the video.
Madonna posted a statement on Instagram about the new video.
This is your wake up call. Gun violence disproportionately affects children, teenagers and the marginalized in our communities. …………………
Honor the victims and demand GUN CONTROL. NOW. Volunteer, stand up, donate, reach out. Wake up and insist on common-sense gun safety legislation. …………………🙏🏼
